I'm not able to login If you are an old MATA member, you may have to clear your www.martialartsteachers.com cookies and cache in order for your computer to and MATA to clear you to login.
This site is huge! How do I find what I am looking for? The key to finding the information and files you need is by using the search field. The search field is the white "search" box in the top right hand corner of all pages. Type in what you are looking for and hit return to see the results of the search. If there are too many responses, try again with a more specific request. For instance, instead of "staff" you might input "staff salary" to more specific responses on paying staff. If you get too few responses, try using different words that mean the same thing. Instead of "staff salary" you might try "staff compensation." Since the content on MATA comes from dozens of different writers and sources, some areas of terminology will not be consistent. Some writers will call a uniform a dobak and other will call it a gi (we just called it a uniform).
I'm having problems with the site when I use AOL 1. Get online with AOL
2. Then launch another browser like Internet Explorer or Safari and use that for MATA access. Do not use AOL as a browser.
Should I download everything so I get what I need before it is removed? Nothing is removed unless there are problems with the file. Otherwise, whatever you need will always be here, so there is no need to download a bunch of files you think that one day you may need. When that day comes, those files will still be here waiting to serve you. We'll handle all of the storage.
What do you send me each month? MATA is updates almost every day of the week, so realistically, we make new information, programs, and files available to you throughout the week. MATA does not confine your information to a monthly box. Instead, we expand it almost every day.
What do I get when I enroll? Your membership kit will contain a CD Rom with eight audio workshops by Mr. Graden; a window decal showing your membership to your community; our solicitation policy; the MATA code of ethics; plus MATA member discounts on various vendors within the industry.
What kind of consulting is offered with membership? MATA is a worldwide community of instructors and school owners. The key to getting the information you want is to post questions in our Forums. These forums are monitored by our advisory board and Mr. Graden each day. Plus, our members are very active in providing ideas, suggestions and answers to questions. When a response is posted to your question, you will get an e-mail alerting you that someone has responded to your question so you can quickly get the answer.
All e-mailed consulting questions to MATA will be redirected to the forums so everyone can see the answers.

Does MATA Pay for Referrals? Yes. Login and go to Account in the top nav. Under Account at the bottom you will see urls and banners that are specific to your account. Post these on your websites and they will track anyone who clicks on them for 30-days.
If a referral enrolls into MATA, you will be paid 20% of their tuition each month both of you are members. For example, you send and e-mail with your special url out to your own organization. When someone clicks through to MATA from the url in your e-mail, our software remembers them for 30-days. If they return to MATA and join in the next 30-days, even if they don't use the same url, you will get credit. Usually, you can pay for your own membership with just five referrals.
How do I get my membership discount in the store? All MATA members qualify for 10% discount on MATA store purchases. In order to receive the discount, you must be logged in first.
How do I edit the ads? These ads are high resolution pdfs. Ideally, you would download the file and then e-mail it to your printer with instructions on where to place your contact information. In that scenario, you will not need to edit the ads or even print them out. This way, you will not lose "generations" as you would with an ad slick. Each time an ad slick is copied, the quality of each generation diminishes. These electronic files don't require an ad slick, so you will not lose quality.
If you do wish to edit and print the ads, you can use a number of different solutions to edit the pdf files. Adobe Elements is an image manipulation software ($99) that is cross platform. Two programs that convert pdf files to Word are SolidConverter (Windows) and Signalize! Editor (MAC).
I can't open the ads.
Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. Another solution may be to clear your computer's cache and then reboot.
If I leave the association what restrictions are there on use of the ads etc?
Ads, newsletters, manuals, and any other file from martialartsteachers.com are all licensed for use by our members. Downloading them does not transfer ownership, so if you leave the association you license for use of these properties expires. Only active members may use any properties from the association.
My login is not working. Make sure you are typing the login information exactly as you created it. Remember the login and password are case sensitive. Also, any unusual symbols such as @ or . tend to create problems for login. If you need to change your login or password, use simple straight forward logins and a password that includes numbers and letters. Most of all, make sure it is easy for you to remember and input.
Another solution may be to clear your computer's cache and then reboot.
I can't find the files that I downloaded.
Typically, files download to your desktop and then automatically open. Check your browser's preferences or options menu to see where you have set as the default destination for downloads.
The downloads text files won't open.
Download text files are in rich text format (rtf) in Microsoft Word. If you do not have word, the file should open in your default text application, however you may have to open your text application and then open the file from within the application.
